10 Things You Should Do With Your Blog

Wordpress

Occasionally, you come across a concept so profound that just reading it is enough to shift your universe. Today, I read one. In fact, once I read it, I had an epiphany and just had to share it. It’s not mine… it’s not even close to anything I have written to date (but wish I […]

Add Amazon Store To Your Blog

Monetizing Your Blog

One way to monetize your Authority Niche Site is to add an Amazon store as a page within your blog. If it’s featured on the first page and contains items that your visitors are interested in, it can be a great way to bring in additional revenue.

This How To Video walks you through the process of logging into your Amazon Affiliate account, and creating a store with exactly the products you want. Adding the store to a page in your blog is shown, along with techniques to get it looking good. There is an additional video showing you how to remove the blog’s sidebar from a page template so more of the Amazon store shows up.

With the Amazon store, once it’s created, you can add products and change colors without making a change to your blog. You can have additional categories and a search feature that works within your store. Each item sold from your Amazon store pays you a *commission* or referral fee.

Watch this video if you want to start bringing in additional revenue from the traffic you are already getting, or want to increase the traffic with SEO optimized new search terms.

Customize Tag Cloud Appearance To Help Visitors Find Your Content

Wordpress

SEO: Inbound Links Without Asking Or Spamming

SEO

You have started your Search Engine Optimization education and have learned that inbound links count as *votes* for your site when Google ranks you website. Come on, everyone knows this right?

So, how do you get those coveted inbound links?

You can surf for blogs in your niche that have a page rank, and contact them. You can then beg, borrow or wheedle a link from them. Good luck with that if you haven’t already established a relationship with them.

You can comment on their blog, on the posts that are most similar to the content you are posting. A good idea, but somewhat time consuming since it’s important when you comment, to add value to the conversation.

Or, you can use a built in …

Case Study: 200% Traffic Increase with Plugins

SEO

I have seen some pretty amazing results on some of my blogs as a result of some new plugins and a few SEO tweaks to the theme. Being the anal-retentive, computer programmer geeky Virgo that I am, I want to know if it’s a fluke, or if the results are duplicatable. That’s just the way […]
