Joke: Top 10 Candidates To Run GM

Joke: Top 10 Candidates To Run GM

Okay, was surfing today and came across this short article on AllTop (link below) that had me laughing right out loud. Now, since this is somewhat rare, I decided to share it with you. (yes, I do have a sense of humor but it tends to be dry. Even funny stuff is just a smile rather than a guffaw)

There’s a vacancy at the top of GM again. The company faces great challenges, so it’s time to think outside-the-box for a new CEO. Here are my ideas.

1. Steve Jobs (Apple). GM would create the most beautiful cars, but you’d need to refill it once a day. You could only buy accessories from the GM store after Phil Schiller approved them. Gas pumps would need new nozzles because Steve mandated non-standard gas-tank fittings. Read the rest of Joke: Top 10 Candidates To Run GM Read more »

Happy Birthday Wishes Had Me Rolling On The Floor

One of my coaching groups got together and built me a couple/three videos as a birthday present. After laughing so hard I hurt myself, I called and shared with some of my family, which resulted in ANOTHER fit of laughter.

I really wanted to share their efforts with you. How inventive and touching. I can’t tell you guys what it means to me that you took the time to do this.

For the rest of you.. enjoy! Read the rest of Happy Birthday Wishes Had Me Rolling On The Floor Read more »

Giving Up Is Not An Option

On A Personal Note…
I know you have heard that quote before, but I thought I would put it into a different context for you today.

First, a little history. I love motorcycles . I love quads. I love jet ski’s and snowmobiles. Anything that rides like a motorcycle, regardless of the *terrain* it was designed to skim across, brings me joy and excitement. I have been riding since… Read the rest of Giving Up Is Not An Option Read more »

3 Ways To Avoid Information Overload

by Cenay Nailor

Do you ever feel like if you learn/see/hear one more thing, you brain will start leaking out of your ears? Welcome to Information Overload .

I feel your pain.

I keep hearing from all the trainers, coaches and guru’s that it’s simple . And they each list “everything” you should do to be successful.

And guess what? Their lists don’t match!

Each trainer/coach/guru lists 5-9 things you MUST do to be [tag-self]successful online[/tag-self]. How do you know which is really the one that you need to do?

Well, frankly, it’s gonna depend on you. I know that wasn’t what you wanted to hear, but dang-it, it’s the truth and I promised you truth above all, right from the beginning. It’s going to depend on your goals, the results you are expecting Read the rest of 3 Ways To Avoid Information Overload Read more »

The Girl Who Silenced The World

At the United Nations recently, for 6 minutes, adults listened as this 12 year old called them to account. While she used no harsh words, and called no names, she still rocked us back on our heels. … Read the rest of The Girl Who Silenced The World Read more »

Recovering From “Blog Withdrawal”

Whew… this weekend was rough.

My hosting company decided to move their data center from Kentucky to Ohio (don’t ask me why) and started giving me warning a few weeks ago. I thought I had prepared myself for the move. I was wrong.

I have at least 5 different blogs on various topics and was “psyching” myself up for the lack of any blog for a whole weekend… Read the rest of Recovering From "Blog Withdrawal" Read more »

The Price Of Complacency

If you have been “online” for any length of time, then you have at one time or other experienced a computer crash. If you haven’t — please knock on wood right now!

Most of you know what I am talking about though. The dreaded grind, the whirring noises that fire off when nothing is happening — at least nothing that YOU are doing. Hackers and Spammers, Trogen… Read the rest of The Price Of Complacency Read more »

I Get Why The Internet Is Such A Popular Search Medium

Let’s see if you can relate. You want to know about something. Something you REALLY need good information on, what do you do?

Without the Internet, remember how you had to do it? (Those of you old enough. You young whiper-snappers probably wouldn’t know where to start, but those of us old enough to remember the gas-crisis of the 70’s will at least have some idea) Let me give… Read the rest of I Get Why The Internet Is Such A Popular Search Medium Read more »
